Celebrate the arrival of spring with a delightful hour of music from Northern Ireland Opera. 

Enjoy performances as soprano Anna Gregg and pianist Luke Lally bring to life a selection of well-known opera favourites inspired by the season of renewal. From light-hearted arias to blooming duets, this lunchtime concert promises warmth, beauty and the perfect musical escape to welcome springtime.

Anna Gregg Bio

Winner of the ‘Deborah Voigt Opera Prize’ at the BBC Radio 3 Glenarm Festival of Voice, Anna Gregg was the ‘Northern Ireland Opera Young Opera Voice of 2023’. Anna graduated in 2022 with distinction, from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she studied BMus(Hons), MMus and MPerf under the tutelage of Sarah Pring. Since graduating, Anna has been fortunate to work with Wexford Festival Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, West Green Opera, Opera Collective Ireland, Sestina Music, Northern Ireland Opera and numerous choral societies in the UK and Ireland. Last season, Anna’s roles included: ’Gabriel’ in a staged production of Haydn’s ‘Creation’ with the Scherzo Ensemble (Longhope Opera); cover ‘Elena’ in the world premiere of ‘Elena and Gerardo’ – Bottini, with Random Opera; ’Lucia’ in Britten’s ‘Rape of Lucretia’ with British Youth Opera. Last year, Anna was also fortunate to be awarded the Dufferin Prize at the Camerata Ireland Academy 2024 and toured with the ‘Merry Opera Company, performing a role in a staged ‘Messiah’. She played Papagena in the ‘Magic Flute 2’ (Paris) by Damon Albarn and Jeremy Sans and Cynthia in ‘The Dowager’s Oyster’ by Louis Mander (London) earlier this year. Anna looks forward to this season’s debut roles of ‘Gretel’ from Humperdinck’s ‘Hänsel und Gretel’ with Salon Opera and ‘Norina’ from ‘Don Pasquale with Random Opera in the coming season, as well as a series of opera galas with Rogue Opera and Clonter Opera. A season highlight will be playing the role of ‘Mormon’ in a film of Oliver Leith’s ‘Last Days, with the Royal Opera and Ballet.

Luke Lally Maguire Bio

Luke Lally Maguire is a Dublin-based pianist and graduate of Guildhall School of Music and Drama. An experienced performer both in competitions and on the concert platform, Luke made his debut in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, performing a solo recital in January 2023. In February 2023, Luke performed in Wigmore Hall as part of the Irish Heritage Music Bursary audition, where he was the recipient of the Music Bursary for Performance valued at £5000. Luke also won first prize in the 2024 Glass Sellers Beethoven Prize at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was a semi-finalist in the 2025 Livorno International Piano Competition. Luke is sought after as a collaborative and chamber musician, frequently performing in collaborations for recitals and concerts. Passionate about the song and opera repertoire, Luke has extensive experience as a collaborative pianist, having performed in masterclasses with Wolfgang Holzmair, Nicky Spence, Anne Le Bozec, Derbhla Collins and Graham Johnson.
