Since acquiring Bangor Castle back in the 1940s, Ards and North Down Borough Council has steadily curated a collection of important historical artefacts, which you can see today as part of our museum displays.

Our History
Dating from 1852, Bangor Castle (the Town Hall) is home to North Down Museum, which is located at the back of the building and incorporated into the former laundry room, courtyard and stable area.
