FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

COVID-19 Update

We are pleased to reopen Ards Arts Centre to the public again, following a six-month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The safety of our visitors and staff is our upmost priority at this time and we have worked hard behind the scenes to ensure your visit to our building will be as safe as possible.

How have you implemented social distancing measures to ensure visitors will be safe?

We have introduced a few changes to offer a safe and enjoyable visit for all. Signage has been put in place to help people keep the recommended distance from each other. Please pay attention to the signage. Some classes will have reduced in capacity or may be in an alternative room in order to safely social distance our class attendees and tutors. We have installed hand sanitisation stations throughout our venue in key places. Please use these throughout your visit to help us keep you and others safe. We have also enhanced our cleaning arrangements, which may mean a wait for some things, such as access to toilets, the lift or access to certain galleries. Class rooms will be closed for cleaning before and after classes, participants must not arrive more than 10 minutes before their class is due to start and only enter the class room once staff have indicated you may do so. Please be patient and respect our staff. In line with government recommendations, our staff may choose to wear face coverings and/or other protective equipment. Please don't be alarmed, this is to protect you and our colleagues. For class bookings, we will maintain your details for an 8-week period for the purposes of the NHS Track and Trace scheme.

How do I enrol for the autumn term Creative Class Programme?

Our class enrolments have moved online for the safety of staff and visitors. All class information can be found at: www.ANDCulture.org.uk/classes Please note that our ticket provider Ticketsource will apply a booking fee at the checkout.

Will visitors be expected to wear masks?

In line with the NI Executive's latest guidelines, we are recommending that visitors to the Arts Centre wear face masks. This includes during your time spent at your chosen class.

What if I am un-well and unable to attend class due to self-isolating?

For this term of classes if you feel at all un-well or suspect that you have Covid-19 symptoms we ask that you let us know immediately and do not attend your class. In-line with the government guidelines you must self-isolate for 14 days and will receive a full refund for any classes that you miss as a result.

Will I have a limited time slot for my visit?

No, but please be aware there may be a queue to enter our venue and that all class attendance must be pre-booked for a 6-week term.
