
Take a tour of Bangor Castle on European Heritage Open Day. Learn more about this beautiful building on this special tour which will cover the ground floor of the castle and include rooms such as the former music salon, dining room, drawing room and library.
Hear about the families who lived there and the history of the castle from its origins to modern day.
Bangor Castle, now the City Hall, dates from 1852. It was built for the Hon. Robert Edward Ward, landlord of much of Bangor. North Down Museum is housed in the former laundry and stables of the main building.
There will be guided tours of Bangor Castle offering a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of this beautiful building.

North Down Museum will also be open on Sunday 10 September, 12noon–4pm. Bangor Castle will be closed on Sunday 10 September.
