As part of her exhibition, Veiled, Emma Stewart will present an informal artist talk to discuss her inspirations and processes.
Emma Stewart is an Irish female artist living and working in Belfast, recently graduated from MFA Fine Art at Belfast School of Art.
She has been developing her practice through painting for over ten years and more recently has been experimenting with installation. Her artwork critically
examines both historical depictions of the female form within traditions of
Western Art and investigates the subjugation of female form in media and art.
Emma will give an informal Artists’ Talk during the preview of her exhibition, discussing her practice progression throughout university and beyond as an emerging artist, giving further insight to her work and inspirations.
This artist talk will take place as part of Emma's preview opening reception in the Georgian Gallery from 7pm.
