Knit and Natter Returns to Ards Arts Centre!
Ards Arts Centre is delighted to announce the return of their weekly Knit and Natter group. If you are a keen knitter, and love a good natter, you'll love this weekly knitting and crochet circle!
Bring along your latest knitting or crochet project and share your skills with like-minded people in this friendly and welcoming group. As this is a self-lead knitting and crochet circle there is no tutor, however many of the participants are experienced and are happy to share their knowledge and skills if you are stuck on a pattern or project.
Speaking about the group, Emily Crawford Arts and Heritage Manager with Ards and North Down Borough Council said: ‘We are so pleased to be able to bring back Knit and Natter after a couple of years absence due to the pandemic. Studies have shown that doing crafts in a group setting is very beneficial to mental health and well-being. We hope that the members benefit from each session as well as improving their knitting or crocheting skills and maybe even make some new friends. We would encourage anyone who is interested in knitting to come along.’
Knit and Natter will resume at Ards Arts Centre on Tuesday 17 May, from 10am – 12noon and will run every Tuesday after that. Cost is £2 per session (pay on the door). Please bring along all your own materials and patterns. Tea/coffee will be provided
