Applications are now open for an Ards and North Down Borough Council Bursary for a five-day residency at the John Hewitt International Summer School 2024.

The John Hewitt International Summer School is an annual Literature, & the Arts Festival, held on the last week in July at the festival home in the Marketplace Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh.

The aim of the bursary scheme is to offer unique opportunities and experiences to encourage and foster a love of reading and to inspire, motivate, and nurture the inner writer in you. The bursary is a must for all aspiring and established writers residing in the borough and includes writing workshops, events and accommodation.
