This exhibition celebrates the creativeness of unpaid carers who often find it difficult to identify time for themselves due to their caring responsibilities. Carers often put their lives on hold to care for a loved one and can miss out on pursuing their own interests and hobbies. The South Eastern Trust recognises the invaluable help and support unpaid carers provide.

The Carer Support Service in the Trust encourages carers to maintain good health and wellbeing and have offered free art, craft and pottery classes over the past two years in order for them to take time out from their caring role and do something they will enjoy.

For some this has been a new experience, for others an opportunity to revisit past interests. The artwork, craft and ceramics displayed in this exhibition show the immense talent of our carers, something that needs to be recognised and appreciated.
