Robert JE Simpson is a visual artist, writer, broadcaster and film historian from Belfast. A regular contributor to BBC Radio Ulster, and director and host of CinePunked. He has written widely and given many talks on popular culture and film.

The recent pandemic brought Robert to a period of introspection and reconnecting with the influences of his youth, seeking something positive from a period of stress and mourning.

This exhibition includes portraits inspired by his live show A Comedy of Madness (exploring the links between mental health and comedy), Alfred Hitchcock’s film Vertigo, and pieces depicting dereliction and decay.
