Know Your Worth

Inspiring Yarns are a social enterprise based in Newtownards who offer a range of courses and social sessions for those interested in textile arts such as knitting, sewing and weaving. Their purpose is to improve mental health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and to promote training and employment opportunities in heritage textiles industry.

This exhibition celebrates their recent project “Know Your Worth”, and features a captivating, quilted wall hanging. Seeking to rejuvenate and celebrate the rich textiles history of the region, this valuable project has provided new heritage yarn and textile skills to local participants, while advocating for sustainable practices in response to the cost-of-living crisis.
