Taylor Lally is a singer/songwriter who grew up in Millisle, Co Down.

She showed a great passion for music from a young age and in 2011 she received her first guitar for Christmas from her father who hoped she would carry on the family hobby of playing music.

She became enchanted with the instrument and inspired by James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Marley started writing her own songs, eventually attending BIMM (British Institute of Modern Music) to study music performance, eventually graduating with a degree in song writing.

Since her return she has been busy performing having opened shows for Steve Forbert and gaining a standing ovation in support of Mary Coughlan. In 2023 Taylor has headlined in the newly refurbished Bangor Courthouse has also been invited as the coveted ‘Artist in Residence’ spot at this year’s Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival.

This year Taylor is releasing a new song every month with a full album to follow in the autumn. Her recently released 5th single “Say You Love Me” has already had extensive airplay.

‘The singer from Co. Down has been compared to the likes of Rikki-Lee Jones with the guitar sensibilities of John Martyn. She also strikes a chord with her poignant song writing craft. Dealing with themes of growing up in a changing Northern Ireland and healing from heartache … you can’t help but admire Taylor Lally’s impressive knack for pulling our heartstrings’
