You asked - we listened! Back by popular request, Matt McGinn joins us for our first Friday Night Live of the Autumn season at Ards Arts Centre!

Matt McGinn is a singer, songwriter & producer from Hilltown in Co. Down, who crafts songs that are a personal representation of his life experience. A former coal man, he found himself somewhat out of his water studying music at Queen’s University in Belfast.

His third album ‘Lessons of War’ propelled him to prominence with his song ‘Bubblegum’ that echoed the Troubles in which he grew up, while his 2020 duet with Aoife Scott ‘Time Well Spent’ became one of the biggest folk songs of the year. He has since released several successful singles and albums, earning praise from critics and fellow musicians alike.

His long list of fans include Mary Black and Christy Moore and his upcoming work features songs co-written by Paul Brady and Foy Vance to name a few.

Friday Night Live, bring a bottle, sit back, relax and enjoy the best affordable live music in town!
