A solo exhibition of ceramic sculpture by Fang Zhao.
Fang Zhao’s practice as a ceramicist seeks to communicate international ideals through sculpture and functional pottery. The organic form of mountain shapes, inspired by Chinese Mountain Paintings, serves as a metaphor with which to examine her personal life journey.
Fang’s work seeks to synthesise traditional and modern aesthetics in order to situate a conceptualisation of the relationship between culture and the natural world.
This exhibition will address ‘the form is emptiness’. This concept could refer to a philosophy or verse, benevolent see benevolence; everyone will have their own explanation.
