David Campbell

David Campbell is a local artist whose studio is based in Bangor. His medium is abstract expressionism, which he uses to capture the atmosphere and mood invoked by the Irish landscape.

Having attended the South Eastern Regional College, where he studied Art & Design, David went on to achieve a BA Honours in Fine Art from the University of Ulster.

In March 2024, after a successful exhibition at Castle Espie, David envisaged a new project that would incorporate traditional Irish cottages into some of his landscapes. The project took a year to complete with David travelling around Ireland to receive inspiration, the result is this exhibition.
