What does the sea sing to you? Join Our Siren Song, a vibrant community arts programme by Beat Carnival, calling artists, residents, and campaigners to the coast through storytelling, sculpture, carnival arts, and song.
Inspired by the sea’s beauty and its urgent environmental messages, this creative journey unfolds across the Ards Peninsula, culminating in Our Siren Song Festival from 13–17 May.
Walk the coastline with Beach of Dreams from 13–15 May, exploring Portaferry, Cloughey, Portavogie, Ballyhalbert, and Ballywalter.
The festival finale on 17 May at Millisle Beach features an afternoon of activities, followed by a stunning 6pm carnival procession and the debut of Our Siren Song at 7pm — featuring operatic singer Jenny Bourke as a 4-metre siren, a mass choir, samba drummers, and dancers.
