Our community in Ards and North Down has a wealth of creative talent. Many of these artists, crafts people and makers use traditional techniques to create their handmade pieces.
Our artist showcase will feature a series of artists, makers and craft people who contribute to keeping our traditional heritage skills alive.
Weaving and spinning form an integral part of our shared creative heritage and this showcase will feature the highly experienced and talented Rosemary McCartney of Simply Spun. Rosemary is a weaver, spinner, craft teacher and craft demonstrator based in Holywood, who uses only natural, eco-friendly materials to create her work from hand, using traditional methods.
