A new exhibition of work by Ards Bobbin Lace Enthusiasts (ABLE).
ABLE is a local group, based in Newtownards which was founded in 1991. The sole objective of the group is to promote all bobbin laces. Bobbin lace is a generic term to describe a wide range of laces made on a pillow with bobbins.
The exhibition celebrates 30 years of ABLE and highlights the beautiful and skilled work of the groups’ members. With a variety of work on display, visitors can view stunning lace pieces like doilies, collars, pictures, handkerchiefs and lots more!
