In this course you will learn about various forms of weaving and braiding, and complete a woven or braided project each class.

The first class will look at weaving on a simple frame, and the project will be to make a purse. During
the 10 weeks we will progress from that to looking at other forms of weaving e.g.
Scandinavian Rya weaving, peg loom and Soumak weaving, and braiding e.g.

No previous experience is needed, and hopefully everyone will learn a new skill. 

All materials and equipment will be provided. Suitable for all levels

  • All classes and workshops must be booked in advance and fees are payable in full.
  • We make a decision on whether to run a course / workshop one week before the start date. Please help us to help you by enrolling promptly.
  • Participants will be required to bring their own materials, unless otherwise stated.
  • As we have set up and cleaning time between each class, we ask that participants do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to the class start time.
