Join Pandora Butterfield for a one-day painting workshop, learning and enjoying the ‘quiet beauty of still-life' painting in oils or acrylic.

Participants will be individually guided through the painting process from finding a composition, skeletal sketching on your preferred surface, blocking in tones and colours.

As your work develops, Pandora will encourage you to consider use of tone, colour, mark and surface to create a finished, or part finished, painting to take home.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • A better understanding of the technical aspects of handling paint.

  • Discovered the importance of composition.

  • A gradual development of painting from initial sketch to finished piece.

  • Developed use of tone and mark making to describe form.

  • More confidence in approaching aspects of painting and its possibilities.
