In this class facilitated by award winning Scottish artist, Craig Jefferson, participants will focus on learning the techniques and theory of oil painting.

Students will benefit from the knowledge and experience of artist Craig Jefferson who will seek to share his skills and offer a considered approach to making paintings. With reference to a number of modern painters you will look at composition, colour theory, paint application and much more. Drawing will be an integral part of the classes as you learn to work from observation and see the world in a whole new way!

Craig Jefferson, born in Scotland, now based in Bangor, was awarded 2nd Place in the Scottish Portrait Awards in 2022, and is represented by the Stafford Gallery, Wimbledon, and Contemporary Six Gallery in Manchester.

Suitable for all levels

Oil paints included.

In the first week you will be advised on tools to bring along such as brushes and sketchbooks for future classes.
