Come along to this workshop where Christine Casey will teach you the ancient craft of 'nalbinding'.

Nalbinding is a very old method of making wooden fabric, using a needle and yarn. It is considered to predate knitting and crochet by about 2000 years, and is mainly seen as a Scandinavian craft, although examples have been found across the world.

It is likely to have been used by Vikings to make gloves, hats, socks and other small items. It is made using the equivalent of a darning needle, as opposed to knitting needles or crochet hooks.
