Whether you are an aspiring writer, someone who practises journaling, or who loves learning a new skill – this workshop is for you! Join local artist Lucy Turner as she teaches you to make two different types of handmade books in this one-off session.

There is something very therapeutic about the cutting, folding, gluing and the feel of paper when making a book. And then when you are finished, there is this amazing sense of accomplishment as you hold it in your hands, open and close the covers and feel the smooth blank pages just waiting to be filled or not!

These books are suitable for anyone to make. In this two hour workshop we will make two books - an accordion book with cotton rag paper that is great for photographs and a pamphlet stitched book with a soft cover is super simple and this skill can be replicated again and again - great for journals, creative writing or to gift.

All materials will be provided.
